Teatro Massimo, Palermo - One of the largest opera houses in Europe, constructed between 1875 and 1897 in a robust neoclassical style. In 1997, the theater was renovated and reopened to the public, after twenty years of neglect and disuse. Postmark: PALERMO, PIAZZA GIUSEPPE VERDI, Day of Issue, 10.10.1987. Card published by AR. CO.
