Semper Opera House - Gottfried Semper's first theatre building was erected between 1838 and 1841, and burnt down in 1869. Using modifications of his father's plans Manfred Semper built a second court theatre between 1870 and 1878 in High Renaissance style. The house was completely destroyed in 1945 and reopened in 1985 after extensive reconstruction. Postmark: DRESDEN, regular, 01.09.1990.
