The Stone Castle (12-13C)

PAU (France) - a rambling structure with six square towers, built by the Viscounts of Béarn in the 12C, the castle later housed the Kings of Navarre. Postmark: PAU, 4 OCT 47, temporary, Philatelic Exhibition. Triple concordance. Card published by BD, No. 3063 C. Postage stamp issued in 25 August 1939.
