VADUZ (Liechtenstein) - originally built in the 12C it was burnt down by troops of the Swiss Confederation in the Swabian Wars of 1499 and partly rebuilt in the following centuries. Postmark: VADUZ, 23.8.1959, regular. Card published by Baron Falz, Vaduz.
VOUGEOT (Burgundy, France) - the castle of the Clos de Vougeot, built in the 12C by the Cistercian monks and now the pride of the Burgundy wine-country. Postmark: VOUGEOT COTE D'OR, 17.11.1951, First Day Cancellation, concordant text. Card published by Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Burgundy Wine Brotherhood), 1951 - 400th Anniversary of Castle Clos de Vougeot.
