Art Nouveau style
The Art Nouveau period began in Paris and Vienna in the late 1890's and
continued until 1910 with the ascendance of the Art Deco period.
The major postcard artists of the period include Alphonse Mucha and Raphael Kirchner.
The name of that International modern art movement is different following the
countries of origin: Art Nouveau or Style moderne in France,
Jugendstyl in Germany, Sezessionstyl in Austria, Modern style or Liberty in England,
Modernismo in Spain.
